Introduction

Infinite Wave Foundation (IWF) is dedicated to empowering communities and addressing food insecurity through our Meals Movement initiative. On June 22, 2024, we held our third Meals Movement event in downtown Vancouver, made possible by a generous donation of deli meat from FG Deli, where we were able to feed over 250 people, including homeless individuals and low-income families.


A Generous Donation

The success of our Meals Movement relies heavily on the support and generosity of our community partners. FG Deli's donation of deli meat was a game-changer, allowing us to significantly expand our reach and impact. This generous contribution enabled us to provide nutritious meals to a larger number of people, showcasing the power of collaboration and community support.


Preparing for the Third Meals Movement

With the donated deli meat, our team set out to prepare sandwiches for the event. The scale of this initiative required meticulous planning and coordination. Our volunteers and staff worked tirelessly to ensure that everything was in place for the big day, from sourcing additional ingredients to preparing and packaging the sandwiches.


The Day of the Event

On June 22, 2024, we gathered in downtown Vancouver, ready to serve over 250 sandwiches. The atmosphere was one of excitement and purpose as we set up our distribution area. The response from the community was overwhelming, with people lining up to receive their meals. The gratitude and smiles from the recipients were heartwarming, reinforcing the importance of our mission.


Impact and Community Support

The third Meals Movement was a resounding success, demonstrating the power of generosity and community support. We were able to feed not only homeless individuals but also 18 low-income families within our local community. The impact of providing nutritious meals to those in need cannot be overstated; it brings relief, hope, and a sense of belonging.


Challenges and Lessons Learned

While the event was a success, we faced several challenges along the way. Coordinating such a large-scale distribution required careful planning and execution. Ensuring the quality and safety of the meals, managing logistics, and coordinating volunteers were some of the hurdles we encountered. Each challenge provided valuable lessons that will help us improve and refine our approach for future events.

With three successful events, we are more motivated than ever to expand the Meals Movement. Our vision is to create a sustainable and impactful program that not only provides meals but also empowers individuals and communities. We are exploring partnerships, seeking donations, and planning future events to reach more people in need.

We Are Officially a Charity — A Milestone That Comes with Mission, Responsibility, and Purpose

 Are we still dreaming? What a monumental moment to share — Infinite Wave Foundation is now a registered Canadian charity. On February 6, 2025, we received our official letter of charitable registration from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). While we’ve been operating as a nonprofit since our founding in August 2023, this new designation is more than just a tax status — it’s a recognition of trust, compliance, and capacity to steward impact at a national level.
