February Meals Movement Update | February 21, 2026

Compassion Through Every Bowl Served On February 21, 2026, Infinite Wave Foundation returned to Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside for another memorable Meals Movement outreach. With the support of our incredible volunteers, we served 100 individuals warm bowls of homemade chicken potato soup during a day filled with compassion, resilience, and meaningful human connection. Every Meals Movement teaches us something new. This one reminded us that service is deeply human. While there were moments of unpredictability throughout the outreach, there were also moments of laughter, conversation, and connection that stayed with us long after the day ended. Community work is not always easy. It requires patience, adaptability, and heart. Our volunteers demonstrated all three. They showed up ready to serve with compassion, understanding that sometimes the most impactful thing we can offer is simply presence and dignity. At Infinite Wave Foundation, Meals Movement is about more than distributing ...

Building Waves of Change: How Infinite Wave Foundation Empowers Communities

At Infinite Wave Foundation, we believe that one act of kindness creates a ripple — and those ripples can grow into waves that transform lives. Our mission is simple but powerful: to empower communities through education, leadership, and opportunities that create lasting impact. We exist because too many people are left behind when it comes to access — access to financial literacy, mentorship, resources, and real chances to thrive. Infinite Wave Foundation was built to close those gaps. Every program we run is designed to lift people up, not just for today, but for their future. Behind our work are real people, each with their own story. One of them is Abbey, who first connected with IWF as a volunteer facilitator. At first, he was unsure if he could teach youth about financial literacy — he’d never taught before. But once he stepped into the room, he saw how hungry these young leaders were for knowledge and encouragement. Today, Abbey is not only one of our strongest champions bu...

Meals Movement x Microsoft: A Day of Kindness, Compassion, and Connection — May 3, 2025

Meals Movement x Microsoft: A Day of Kindness, Compassion, and Connection On May 3, 2025, Infinite Wave Foundation’s Meals Movement was once again energized by the incredible spirit of community and service—this time with a team of five passionate volunteers, four of whom came from Microsoft, and one who is a friend and fellow supporter from the Microsoft community. Though this was their second time volunteering with IWF, it was their very first experience participating in the Meals Movement, and the impact they made was nothing short of inspiring.   More Than Just a Meals Movement This particular Meals Movement held a deeper meaning for us. In truth, we almost didn’t go through with it. Just one week prior, our community was shaken by a tragic accident during Lapu Lapu Day—an event that deeply impacted our hearts and left us mourning with the world. In the days that followed, we wrestled with whether we could find the strength to host this initiative. But something called us forwa...

Meals Movement: March 15, 2025

Infinite Wave Foundation’s Meals Movement: Fighting Hunger, One Meal at a Time At Infinite Wave Foundation, we believe that no one in our community should go without a meal. Through our Meals Movement program, we’re tackling food insecurity head-on by providing nutritious, well-balanced meals to low-income families in the Vancouver Lower Mainland and individuals in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. March 15 Meals Movement: Feeding 89 Individuals On March 15, our team hit the streets at Hastings St. & Columbia St., serving Jamaican Beef Soup with rice and a cup of Tang Juice to 89 individuals in need. These moments remind us why this work is so important—offering not just food, but warmth, dignity, and hope. One unforgettable moment came when a man, despite his own hunger, mentioned that "there are a lot of people starving out here" and he would give up his meal so someone else could eat. This selfless act reminded us that even in struggle, generosity thrives. Where the ...

Meals Movement: Dec 7, 2024

Infinite Wave Foundation’s Meals Movement: Spreading Warmth on December 7, 2024 At Infinite Wave Foundation, we are committed to ensuring no one in our community goes hungry. On December 7, 2024, we once again took to the streets of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, offering a warm meal to nearly 100 individuals in need. Meals Served with Care: Gumbo & Rice On this day, the Meals Movement served a hearty and comforting meal of gumbo and rice, inspired by a generous food donation from Freybe’s. The flavorful dish was a perfect choice to nourish the body and uplift spirits as the cold winter months set in. Our team gathered at Hastings St., a location where many of the homeless and low-income individuals in our community find themselves in need. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude as volunteers and community members came together to ensure that each person was served with dignity and care. Volunteers played a key role in the December 7th distribution. They helped ensure a smooth ...

MEALS MOVEMENT: Spreading Nourishment, Hope, and Dignity — One Meal at a Time

In the heart of every community are families who rise each day facing the quiet, painful challenge of food insecurity. It’s not always visible—but it’s there. Behind closed doors and in low-income housing units, single parents stretch thin paychecks, children go to bed without dinner, and seniors ration what little they have left. At Infinite Wave Foundation, we see these stories. We feel them. And we respond not with pity, but with purpose. One of the most powerful ways we respond is through our MEALS MOVEMENT—a community-driven initiative designed to combat food insecurity with compassion, dignity, and practical support. This isn’t just about food. It’s about restoring hope and ensuring that no family in our reach is left behind. Another Generous Gift That Fueled A Wave of Giving Our foundation was blessed to receive another incredibly generous donation: 600 kilograms of liver spread from Freybe Gourmet Foods Ltd. (FG Deli Group) —a respected Canadian deli company known for quality, ...

Infinite Wave Foundation’s Meals Movement: Spreading Love and Nourishment on August 17, 2024 On August 17, 2024, the Infinite Wave Foundation came together with a shared mission to help those in need by providing hot, nourishing meals to our homeless community. Hastings St., located in the heart of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, was the site for another impactful day of the Meals Movement program, where over 100 families were fed. A Meal with Meaning: Pasta for the Community For this distribution, we prepared a simple yet fulfilling meal of pasta, offering both comfort and sustenance to those who need it most. With the help of generous donations from local grocery stores, we were able to gather all the ingredients to make this meal possible. But it wasn’t just about food—it was about connection and care. Volunteers played an essential role in packing and distributing the meals, ensuring that everything was done efficiently and with a warm heart. A Special Moment of Prayer A stand...

Generosity In Action Introduction Infinite Wave Foundation (IWF) is dedicated to empowering communities and addressing food insecurity through our Meals Movement initiative. On June 22, 2024, we held our third Meals Movement event in downtown Vancouver, made possible by a generous donation of deli meat from FG Deli, where we were able to feed over 250 people, including homeless individuals and low-income families. A Generous Donation The success of our Meals Movement relies heavily on the support and generosity of our community partners. FG Deli's donation of deli meat was a game-changer, allowing us to significantly expand our reach and impact. This generous contribution enabled us to provide nutritious meals to a larger number of people, showcasing the power of collaboration and community support. Preparing for the Third Meals Movement With the donated deli meat, our team set out to prepare sandwiches for the event. The scale of this initiative required meticulous planning and c...
