Infinite Wave Foundation’s Meals Movement: Spreading Love and Nourishment on August 17, 2024
On August 17, 2024, the Infinite Wave Foundation came together with a shared mission to help those in need by providing hot, nourishing meals to our homeless community. Hastings St., located in the heart of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, was the site for another impactful day of the Meals Movement program, where over 100 families were fed.
A Meal with Meaning: Pasta for the Community
For this distribution, we prepared a simple yet fulfilling meal of pasta, offering both comfort and sustenance to those who need it most. With the help of generous donations from local grocery stores, we were able to gather all the ingredients to make this meal possible.
But it wasn’t just about food—it was about connection and care. Volunteers played an essential role in packing and distributing the meals, ensuring that everything was done efficiently and with a warm heart.
A Special Moment of Prayer
A standout moment during this distribution was when Divine Appointment Ministry partnered with us to offer prayers to those who requested them. As we distributed meals, the volunteers and ministry members took the time to bless each individual and pray over the food. It was a beautiful and humbling experience, as we all came together to uplift the spirits of those in need.
